An Elkhart County RV products maker, Furrion Property Holding Limited, has filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana against Way Interglobal LLC, a manufacturer of products for the recreational vehicle industry alleging patent infringement.
According to the lawsuit, Furrion claimed that Way Interglobal violated Furrion’s intellectual property by selling its 2-in-1 range ovens.
The plaintiff alleges that it has other patents associated with the oven which was infringed by the defendant.
The plaintiff reportedly said that Way Interglobal made use of the technology without permission.
The plaintiff reportedly claimed that the infringement has caused lots of damages, unfair competition and confusion.
The plaintiff seeks damages and an injunction to stop Way Interglobal from selling that product.
Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Furrion, Aaron Fidler reportedly said “our engineers and developers have invested their careers in creating the best products on the market. Furrion applied and was granted several patents to protect their work and the incredible innovation they have put forth into these products. We will do what is necessary to ensure that technology stays proprietary”.
Way Interglobal is yet to react to the lawsuit.
The case is still ongoing.
