Early this year, Kajeet Inc. filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division against Liminex Inc. doing business as GoGuardian with case number 2:18-cv-00643-GW-RAO accusing the defendant of patent infringement.

Kajeet develops software and hardware for the safe use of mobile devices by children at home, in schools and in libraries while the defendant is an El Segundo software developer.

The plaintiff allege that a cease and desist letter was sent to the defendant on June 1, 2017 notifying the defendant of the use of the plaintiff’s ‘371 and ‘559 patents via its GoGuardian products.

The defendant was accused of reproducing, using and selling the infringed product without permission thereby infringing the ‘371 and ‘559 patents of the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment to stop infringing the product and seek compensation for damages caused and such further relief as the court may deem just and proper under the circumstances.
