U.S. News | Glow Faced with Legal Battle for using Photo without Authorization

Late last month, Luminence LLC filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California with case number 3:18-cv-617 against Glow With Us Inc. alleging copyright infringement.

Glow With Us Incorporation, a La Puente company, has been accused of unlawfully using a La Jolla corporation’s copyrighted photo on its products without permission.

The plaintiff stated in the suit that they manufacture lighted, fiber – optic accessories under the Glowbys name and has copyrighted photos of models wearing the accessories.

The plaintiff accuses the defendant of selling competing products which uses the plaintiff’s copyrighted photos without authorization.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant for award of actual damages, costs of action, interest, destroy all copies, and further relief as the court may deem just.

The case is currently pending.
