Accion International Applies to Register “Accion” in Class 35 in Nigeria

accionThe application for the registration of the mark was filed on October 30, 2012 in Nigeria.  It covers a range of business administration and management services in Class 35.

A search for “Accion” using the USPTO’s Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS) shows that the mark was registered in Class 35 in the U.S. on January 8, 2013.  The status of the mark in Nigeria as of December 31, 2013, was accepted and approved for publication.

Comite International Olympique Chateau de Vidy Applies to Register “OLYMPIC” and “OLYMPIAD” in Class 35 in Nigeria

olympicThe marks consist of the words “OLYMPIC” and “OLYMPIAD”. Both marks were applied for on October 15, 2012 and cover a range of business administration and management services in Class 35.  Applications for the marks have also been filed in Class 41 “for education, provision of training, entertainment, sporting and cultural activities” and Class 37 for “building, construction, repair and installation services”.

A quick search of WIPO’s Global Brand Database, shows that the marks have also been registered in Australia and in the Philippines.  The status of the marks in Nigeria as of December 31, 2013, was accepted and approved for publication..

MIH Intelprop Holdings Limited Applies to Register “Multichoice” in Class 35 in Nigeria

multichoiceThe application for the registration of the mark was filed on October 26, 2007 in Nigeria.  It covers a range of business administration and management services in Class 35.

The status of the mark in Nigeria as of December 31, 2013, was accepted and approved for publication.

Accenture Global Services Limited Applies to Register “High performance. Delivered.” in Class 35 in Nigeria

High Performance DeliveredThe application for the registration of the mark was filed on October 2, 2012 in Nigeria.  It covers a range of business administration and management services in Class 35.

A similar application for “High performance. Delivered.” was also filed in Nigeria in Class 41 “in respect of education, provision of training, entertainment, sporting and cultural activities” and Class 36 “in respect of insurance, financial affairs, monetary affairs and real estate affairs”.

WIPO’s Global Brand Database, shows that “High performance. Delivered.” has been registered in Class 35 in Australia with pending registrations in the Philippines, Israel, Singapore and the U.S.  The status of the mark in Nigeria as of December 31, 2013, was accepted and approved for publication.

Gado S.R.L. Applies to Register “Dolce & Gabbana” in Class 35 in Nigeria

DOLCE & GABBANAThe application for the registration of the mark was filed on December 28, 2012 in Nigeria.  It covers a range of business administration and management services in Class 35.

“Dolce & Gabbana” has also been registered in Class 35 in Australia, Singapore and the U.S., with pending registrations in the Philippines and Israel.  The status of the mark in Nigeria as of December 31, 2013, was accepted and approved for publication.

Guess ?. Inc. Applies to Register “Guess ?” in Class 35 in Nigeria

GUESSThe application for the registration of the mark was filed on March 26, 2013 in Nigeria for business administration and management services in Class 35.

WIPO’s Global Brand Database shows that the mark “Guess ?” has been registered in Class 35 in several countries including Australia, Israel, Canada, and Switzerland.

The status of the mark in Nigeria as of December 31, 2013, was accepted and approved for publication.

Eni S.p.A Applies to Register “Agip” in Class 35 in Nigeria

AGIPThe application for the registration of the mark was filed on April 5, 2007 in Nigeria.  It covers a range of business administration and management services in Class 35.  Specifically, “Class 35: In respect of advertising, business management and administration, office functions.”  The status of the mark in Nigeria as of December 31, 2013, was accepted and approved for publication.
