Maranatha University College was established in 1972 as a private higher education institution located in the large city of Accra North, Greater Accra. The college was initiated as a Bible College in 1972 and formerly known as Maranatha Bible College. It was later renamed in August 2006. The Maranatha Bible College, the predecessor of the Maranatha University College, operated on the site of today’s campus as a training center for religious leaders in Ghana. Maranatha University College (MUC) is formally affiliated with the University of Cape Coast. Maranatha University College is officially accredited and/or recognized by the National Accreditation Board, Ghana (National Accreditation Board, Ghana). Maranatha University College (MUC) is a coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Evangelical religion.
