Title of Invention: Petrol-In-Water Grease Stripper
Date of Patent: 5/12/2012
Patent No: NG/P/2012/663
Applicant. Dr. Clementyinad, Igwebike-Ossi – Department of Industrial Chemistry, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, Nigeria
Inventor: Association of Nigerian Inventors (ANI) (Abuja)
Abstract: A novel cleansing formulation called grease stripper with excellent degreasing power is unveiled. This grease stripper was formulated using 38-42% by weight of petrol in the emulsified form as the degreasing agent. Emulsification was achieved using 15-19% by weight of alkyl phenol ethoxylate, a non-ionic surfactant as the emulsifier to give a petrol-in-water emulsion. In this product, the powerful degreasing action of petrol combines with the outstanding emulsifying, solubilizing and detersive ability of the ethoxylate to give an excellent degreasing effect when used to clean surfaces heavily soiled with oil and grease. Sodium silicate (0.5% by weight), an anti-corrosion agent was incorporated to protect the degreased metal surfaces from corrosion.

Patent No: NG/P/2011/364
Applicant: Mbaketoi, Uyo Local Government Area (Nigeria)
Inventor: Association of Nigerian Inventors (ANI) (Abuja)
Abstract: The invention discloses a remote control system using GSM Network for automobile security and a manual anti-theft system capable of demobilizing automobiles by cutting off fuel channel and electric circuit in automobiles and also activates a hidden microphone to enable the car owner listen to possible conversations from stolen vehicles.
Title of Invention: Multipurpose Machine for Serving “Ogi” Supply
Date of Patent: 17/3/2011
Patent No: NG/P/2011/290
Applicant: Simolowo Oluwafunbi Emmanuel & Adeniji Oluseyi Oladipo, Mechanical Engineering Department, University of Ibadan (Nigeria)
Inventors: Simolowo Oluwafunbi Emmanuel & Adeniji Oluseyi Oladipo, Mechanical Engineering Department, University of Ibadan (Nigeria)
Abstract: The multipurpose for machine sieving ‘ogi’ (ground corn slurry) and other applicable grain slurry comprises the sieving container (003) which receives water from an external water unit (012) and the slurry ‘ogi’ to be sieved through a hopper, sieving is achieved by an arrangement of vibration and sifting mechanism (013) which is electrically driven (009) by a motor. Depending on the type of ground grain slurry, interchangeable assembly of sieving arrangement are applied within the sieving unit to account for the multipurpose usage of the machine.
