Pharmaceutical firms stuck by poor packaging, imports by Odinaka Anudu


Pharmaceutical companies in Nigeria are stifled by poor packaging, consumers’ over-reliance on imports and high production costs, among others, making them unable to compete in the international market, experts say.  Products and image are often poorly packaged, they add. The experts are unanimous that the way products are packaged in the country, along with poor integrity perception, have had negative effects on pharmaceutical concerns in the country, making it difficult for them to obtain the World Health Organisation (WHO) pre-qualification necessary for successful competition in the international market. Read more
