The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) recently published an announcement notifying Importers, Freight Forwarders, Customs Licensed Agents, Port stakeholders, Authorized Dealer Banks and the general public it has completed the integration of electronic NAFDAC licenses for the processing of import transactions on the National Single Window for Trade. The Go-Live date is set for September 9, 2019.
NAFDAC Import licenses consisting of Approvals, Certificates and Permits which are now in electronic formats shall be auto verifiable on the NAFDAC Single Window for Trade Portal. As such all NAFDAC licenses will no longer be attached as scanned copies on the Single Window portal for the processing of Form M in import trade. In order to utilize the electronic licenses for the processing of Form M for NAFDAC regulated products, Clients would be required to input their Approval Reference Code stated on their NAFDAC e-licenses. This would then be auto-verified and accepted by the Form M platform.
Holders of valid NAFDAC Registration Certificates and other import documents that are not in electronic formats are advised to visit the web address https://trade.gov.ng/nafdac and click NAFDAC e-License for digitization of such documents.
