Nigeria: Update from Trademarks Registry

This past Friday, June 23, the Trademarks, Patents and Designs Registry in Nigeria contacted all accredited agents in Nigeria, notifying them that the Registry is currently processing applications in preparation for the issuance of certificates of registration.

In furtherance of this process, the Registry advised those who are yet to collect their certificate or who are yet to pay for the collection to do so as soon as possible.

According to the Registry:

We are currently processing applications in preparation for certificate issuance and here by advise all agents who have paid for their certificates to update payment status for T003 (certificate of trademark) or make payment for certification of issuance.
 
HOW TO UPDATE T003 (CERTIFICATE OF TRADEMARK) PAYMENT.
 

  1. Log in to your agent dashboard using your username and password
  2. Click (APPLY FOR ONLINE TRADEMARK CERTIFICATE) on your dashboard
  3. Enter a valid trademark Online ID to “update T003”
  4. Enter a valid payment ID for certificate to link your payment to the parent application.
  5. If payments were made before 2013, please select branchcollect.
  6. If the payment is valid, you will be able to confirm update.

The registry stated that inquiries could be directed to joy via customersupport@iponigeria.com
