Nigeria News | NAFDAC Shuts Down Yoghurt Factory, Owner Arrested

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has taken a giant step in shutting down RUQAYYA Yoghurt factory in new Kukuri, Lai Lai ward of Potiskum LGA, Yobe state in a bid to safeguard the lives of Nigerians.

The factory was shut down and the owner, Mohammed Sani was arrested for unwholesome production of yoghurt. Product and equipment worth One Million, Five Hundred Thousand (N1, 500,000:00) Naira were confiscated in the factory.

Mr. Lawan Musa Dadingelma, the State Coordinator expressed the commitment of the agency in the state to combat substandard products in the state.

Lawan further urged the public to come forward with any useful information to NAFDAC.
