Nigeria News | NAFDAC Seize 100 Cartons of Expired Coke Zero in Katsina

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in Katsina State seize 100 cartons of expired beverage drink at a super market in Katsina metropolis.

According to the state director of NAFDAC, John Agada the agency received a complaint from a consumer that a particular super market was selling expired coke zero in Katsina metropolis.

Agada said “When we visited the super market, our officers found several cartons of Coke Zero, which date of best use is June, 2018. We immediately impounded the cartons of coke zero as the best day for drinking them had expired which is now harmful and dangerous for consumption.

Agada warned store owners to always ensure they sell products within the best use period and avoid selling expired products to Nigerians. He added that any one caught would face the wrath of the law.

Agada called on members of the public in the state to always look at the expiration date of any bottle of soft drink before consumption.
