Nigeria: Intellectual Property Office Publishes Compendium of Rulings of Trademarks Tribunal

Late last month, the trademarks registry in Nigeria for the first time ever released a compendium of rulings delivered by trademark opposition tribunals.

In a letter dated March 15 and signed by one Patrick Wemambu, on behalf of the Registrar, the registry stated that the compendium, a 664-page summary, included rulings delivered in respect of trademark opposition cases arising from filed applications.

The compendium titled Nigerian Intellectual Property Opposition (NIPO) Reports , according to the registry, is available for purchase for N30,000 (approximately $85).
