The Trademarks, Patents and Designs Registry in Nigeria has published a new Trademarks Journal dated February 28, 2020. The Journal titled Online Trade marks Journal Vol. 1, No. 2., covers trademark applications filed online using the Registry’s online system.
Pursuant to section 19 of the Trademark Act, notice is hereby given that applications have been received for registration of the following trade marks.
Any person who has grounds of opposition to the registration of any of the marks advertised in the journal has two months from the date hereof [to] give notice to the Registrar of such opposition.
Such notice shall be in writing and in the prescribed manner setting out the ground and shall be submitted in duplicate. On completion of the preliminary proceeding, both the opponent and the applicant shall within one month, file with the Registrar their briefs of argument with copies of the legal authorities relied upon therein.
All communications relating to Trade Marks should be addressed to the Registrar of Trade Marks, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, P.M.B. 88, Garki, Abuja, Nigeria.
The goods in respect of the following Trade Marks are in classes 1-34 of schedule 4, and service marks in classes 35-45.
