NCC Arrests Five Over Piracy in Kogi by Usman A. Bello | Daily Trust
The Nigerian Copyright Commission has arrested five people in Kogi State over piracy, warning people to desist from the act or face the law. A Senior Copyright Officer in the commission, Mr Chukwuemeka Ngene, gave the warning when he led a team of the commission to Lokoja at the weekend.
He said the suspects were involved in hacking signals of satellite providers and that they will lead the commission to the source of the materials they use. Ngene lamented that activities of pirates in the country have become worrisome, as they deprive legitimate business owners of enjoying the fruits of their labour. Read more
