Nigeria News | NAFDAC Confiscates Fake Products in Delta

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has confiscated some unregistered regulated products in Asaba, Delta capital worth N250,000 including various brands of unregistered insecticides from hawkers in Ogbeogonogo Market.

The NAFDAC’s Director of Public Affairs, Dr. Abubakar Jimoh, disclosed that fake products were confiscated during a anti-counterfeiting raid carried out by NAFDAC’s team on August 16.

Hawkers with various brands of herbal medicine in Okpanam near Asaba in Oshimili Nouth Local Government Area were mopped out and items seized from them.

Jimoh added that some regulated products with fake NAFDAC registration numbers were also seized from one Mrs. Faith Onyinyechi during the raid.

He further reiterated that NAFDAC was more committed and determined than ever to rid Nigeria’s markets of fake products in Nigeria.
