N40 Million Suspected Pirated Literary Works Seized by NCC Operatives

Officers of the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC), Lagos Office, backed up by Security Operatives have seized suspected pirated literary works worth Forty Million Naira during an antipiracy raid carried out at a bookshop located on Lisabi Street, Ojuelegba, Lagos State on October 21, 2013.  Team Leader Mr. Joseph Ojika said the enforcement action was targeted at checking illegal activities of book pirates in Lagos State.  Mr Ojika explained further that the raid was carried out based on intelligence report from stakeholders who reported that pirated literary works were stocked by the said bookshop.
