MCSN/NCC legal battles: Justice Mukhtar instructs Federal High Court judge to act on MCSN/NCC court cases

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Aloma Mariam Muktar, has instructed the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Auta, to take action on the petition of MCSN (Musical Copyright Society Nigeria) against NCC (Nigerian Copyright Commission) before her.  The letter was signed by the Secretary of the NJC, Danladi Halilu.  On June 4, Justice Auta, through his Special Assistant, Ambrose Unaeze, wrote to inform MCSN that action was being taken on the petition.  “I am directed by the Chief Judge to refer to your petition on the above matter and to inform you that the matter is being looked into and you will be communicated with soonest”, stated the letter. Read more
