Luxottica Group Alleges Tarzana Business Sells Counterfeit Ray-Ban Products

Late last month, Luxottica Group S.p.A, the manufacturer of Ray-Ban eye wear filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California with case umber case number 2:18-cv-02459 against a Tarzana business, FY Eye Optometry Center Inc., Sol Regwan and Does 1-10 alleging trademark infringement and selling of counterfeit products.

The plaintiff accuses the defendant of displaying and selling counterfeit Ray-Ban products thereby infringing on the plaintiff’s internationally recognized trademark without consent or permission.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for injunctive relief.

The plaintiff is also demanding for compensations on statutory damages; attorneys’ fees and any other relief as the court will decide.

The case is currently pending.
