Early this year, a Hungarian artist, Balaz Solti, filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California with case number 2:17-cv-00451-CAS-AJW against Lularoe LLC, Leann Stidham and Does 1 through 10 alleging copyright infringement

The Hungarian artist claimed that his “Cool Lion” artwork was copied by the defendants. According to him, the defendants distributed and sold leggings that bear the plaintiff’s artwork without permission.

The plaintiff said he has suffered great loss from his artwork been copied and distributed without authorization thereby making the plaintiff suffer damages and unfair competition.

The plaintiff is seeking a trial by jury and enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiff’s artwork.

The plaintiff requests award of all profits and damages and any other relief as this court deems fit.
