
The Alliance for Accelerating Excellence in Science in Africa (AESA), an initiative of the African Academy of Sciences and the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD), in partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has launched two Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Grand Challenges Africa – Innovation Seed Grants.
The RFP are seeking:
1) solutions and strategies to reduce maternal, neonatal and child deaths in Africa, and
2) creative communication approaches to inspire African governments to fund research and development.
Eligibility
The Innovation Seed Grants will fund innovators resident in Africa with any level of experience, working in any discipline in colleges, universities, government laboratories, research institutions, non-governmental and non-profit organizations. The goal is to find local solutions to solve Africa’s pressing challenges and help the continent to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
