FG, UNIDO Commence Quality Accreditation of Products in Nigeria by Crusoe Osagie

The federal government, in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), has commenced an accreditation process for goods on sale in the Nigerian market to ensure that such products meet all stipulated international quality standards.  The Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Samuel Ortom, who hailed the initiative being undertaken by the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) on behalf of the federal government, explained that standardisation and conformity assessment companions have very important roles to play in technological development, productivity and trade. Read more
