Last week, the Chinese Government published that a firm associated with President Donald Trump called DTTM Operations LLC had filed an application to register four new trademarks under the Trump brand in Macau. The applications were filed in June and cover a range of services including casinos, construction, hotels and real estate. It is unclear whether the application is a renewal after expiration in 2006 or a new trademark application in Asia’s biggest gambling hub.

It will be recalled that DTTM Operations has listed 22 other trademarks for various brands since 2006 including Trump Tower, Trump International Hotel and Tower, and the Donald J. Trump brand.

The new application has different bearings as the first application lists hotels, restaurants, bars and conference facilities with Trump Tower at 725 Fifth Avenue in New York City as its address.

Two applications indicates real estate services and real estate development and construction and the fourth application requested a trademark for gambling, casino services, casino facilities provision.

President Trump business is handled by his two sons after he became president. In reaction to this, Trump Organization said in a statement to CNN Money that they are seriously in a bid to protect its intellectual property rights around the world most especially in places where trademark infringement is prominent.
