Dangote Sugar Refinery (DSR) recently donated six operational vehicles to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).

The vehicles were handed over to NAFDAC at the agency’s office at Isolo, Lagos.

The Acting Director General of the Agency, Mrs. Yetunde Oni, expressed her gratitude for the donation. She expressed appreciation to Dangote Group for their actions as part of the organization’s Corporate Social Responsibility. She added that the donation will go a long way in supporting the actualization of the agency’s mandate of ensuring the well being of the citizenry.

The six operational vehicles will not only help the agency in surveillance and monitoring activities. Rather they will also provide mobility for staff of the agency  to increase monitoring of products on the market so that the products retain the same quality with the samples submitted for approval during the registration process.

Mrs. Oni further made it known that the agency is consistently looking for new partnerships with organizations in Nigeria to make the agency actualize her mandate. She applauded the Nigeria Customs Service and Police Force for their unalloyed commitment and provision of security during enforcement and monitoring exercises.
