Court upholds NAFDAC’s appeal against Indian businessman by Augustine Madu-East

The National Agency for Food, Drugs and Administration Control (NAFDAC) has won its appeal against the March 4, 2011 ruling by a Federal High Court sitting Kano which discharged an Indian businessman, Dijay Lawani, of criminal charges brought against him by the agency.  NAFDAC had earlier filed an appeal, challenging the ruling of the Kano which dismissed the criminal charge of faking Rambo insecticide, product of a Kanobased companied, Gongoni Nigeria Limited. Read more
