Apple Files Trademark Application for ‘Tapback’ in Nigeria

December 1, 2016 — Apple Inc. has filed a new trademark application for ‘Tapback’ in Nigeria. The trademark application relates to Apple’s iMessage feature called ‘Tapback’ which allows users to share their reaction to a text without typing a complete message. Users can respond to iMessages from friends, family and colleagues with a thumbs up, a thumbs down, a heart, exclamation points, a question mark, and the word “haha.”

The trademark application (F/TM/O/2016/110687) was filed on November 11, 2017 and covers a wide range of goods.
