Recently, Alice + Olivia sued Betsey Johnson in a federal suit alleging Betsey Johnson ripped off its “StaceFace,” an image inspired by Alice + Olivia founder, Stacy Bendet depicting round sunglasses and red lips on handbags.

The lawsuit was filed through her parent company Steven Madden.

A cease and desist letter was sent to Betsey Johnson by Stacy Bendet brand in February but the defendant only changed the sunglasses to heart shapes on its products leaving the former as same.

As at the point of filing this report, the defendant representative is yet to give a response.

Alice + Olivia is seeking an injunction and monetary relief.
