40 drug firms sign on to NAFDAC’s Mobile Authentication Service by Emeka Anuforo

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) is celebrating the success of its mobile authentication service. At the last count, over 40 drug-manufacturing firms had signed on to the technology, according to statistics made available to The Guardian. NAFDAC says the growing global problem of counterfeit medication poses a crippling risk to healthcare systems in developing nations. Read more
